Wilkie Legacy to be remembered as
Bonnie & Jon Henricks Chair FIESTA FINALE
The legacy of Wilkie Fiesta parties will be remembered this August as
Honorary Chairs Bonnie Wilkie and Jon Henricks host the 5th annual Fiesta
Finale at the Santa Barbara Courthouse on August 8th, 2004. The event
includes a Costume Contest, Fan Project, and performance in the Sunken
Garden including members of the State Street Ballet, and Opera Santa
Barbara, recreating favorite paintings that come to life.
Produced by the Profant Foundation For The Arts, a nonprofit 501c-3, the
Fiesta Finale Gala raises scholarship funds for Santa Barbara artists of all
ages, in the fields of art, dance, music, theater, literature and film
making. Through the support of individuals, foundations and local
businesses, over $90,000 has been given to artists in the past 4 years.

Dear friends,
Ever since my parents made Montecito their permanent home, my mother,
Adele Wilkie, transformed our garden into a colorful Fiesta party filled
with her many friends and relations. Her love of theme parties was
legendary, and as Fiesta was her favorite theme of all, her Fiesta
parties were works of art.
A few years ago she shared her extensive Fiesta memories with the
Profant Foundation so that they could keep the elegant traditions of
Fiesta alive and through Fiesta provide support for the arts. We are
now thrilled to be able to see my mother’s traditions carried on and
expanded by the Foundation’s Fiesta Finale.
I hope you will join Jon and me this year as we honor the legacy of
Fiesta so loved by my mother. Everyone should have the opportunity to
experience the incredible ambiance of the Courthouse Loggia at twilight
and its gardens under the stars surrounded by beautiful architecture
shown to its best advantage as the stage for romantic Latin dancing.
All of these elements combine to set the stage for an unforgettable
program that - as mother put it - "could be taken around the world on
tour!"
We’ve asked our friends in Lake Forest to join us in this celebration
where art truly does come to life in the living tableaus of dancers and
musicians. This show is the best kept secret of Santa Barbara, and your
generous support benefits local artists of all ages and mediums!
